The rounded foliage gives a softer, more refined look compared to the species, while still providing year-round evergreen cover. White flower spikes appear in spring, followed by black berries that wildlife enjoy. 'Rotundifolia' tolerates most soil conditions and grows well in sun or shade, including deep shade where many plants struggle.
Ideal for creating hedges at 1.5-2.5m height with less frequent trimming than the species. Hardy, drought-tolerant once established, and provides excellent privacy screening. Works well in both formal and informal settings.
